Healthy Homemade Snack- Granola Bars

I found this on a Land O’Lakes recipe card in one of my other cookbooks, where it came from, who knows! It’s odd, because I was just about to make snack bars only I didn’t have everything needed for it. This recipe was quick and ingredients were all on hand. After 3 batches and an empty snack jar it’s safe to say the kids love them!

 Chewy Granola Bars
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups uncooked old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
1/3 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup cranberries & raisins dried fruit combination
1/4 cup slivered almonds
 Directions
Heat oven to 325°F. Line 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil. Spray foil with no-stick cooking spray; set aside.

Combine all ingredients except dried fruit and almonds in large bowl until well mixed. Stir in dried fruit and almonds.

Lightly press mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 22 to 28 minutes or until golden brown. (Center may be soft.) Cool completely; cut into bars.

Switch up the things you add, different nuts, different dried fruits, no nuts at all! I love these, they are soft and chewy a new winner in this house!!

Enjoy!
