Recipe Challenge Day 8: Cinnamon Bun Smoothie

Sweet Treat for this Mama. As a Mom I really and rarely do get a treat, whether it’s five minutes alone ( yeah right like that will happen)  or some peace and quiet ( again, ha!) What better way to steal a moment for myself than to make a quick fresh and tasty smoothie? I love the taste of this, it’s just a quick pick me up and I’d like to try to add some brewed coffee to it next time, see how it comes out.

It does taste like a cinnamon bun, most likely due to the almond milk and cinnamon taste. I had orginally jumped at this because I just wanted the cinnamon bun. ha. My friend sent this recipe to me.

1 frozen banana, cut into four pieces
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon ( nutmeg would work in a pinch as well)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon honey
Cinnamon stick, for garnish


Using a blender combine all the ingredients and blend till smooth. If needed add more milk . I want to try this again but with a little added brewed coffee, I bet it would be great! Garnish with cinnamon stick and enjoy!

    I just want to know, how do you get to enjoy your shake without being begged to share, lol. Every time I make a smoothie, I lose it to my youngest. This recipe sounds so good and I can not wait to try it.
