Busy day, not much time to do things, but it was my birthday so I wanted to have a special dessert. No bake cheesecake it is! I kinda doubled this a little bit, ok I just doubled the darn thing all together. I had a larger pie crust to use up and it worked out perfectly, plus I wanted an extra big slice so who cares! It worked out. It was great!
This came from Kraft, always quick and easy stuff on that site.
pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
1 ready-to-use graham cracker crumb crust (6 oz.)
2 cups cherry pie filling make it
Beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with whisk or mixer until blended add in one cup of the cherry filling, beat together. Stir in COOL WHIP.
Spoon the mixture into crust and smooth it out with the back of a spoon. Chill for about 3 hours. Just before serving pour the cherry pie filling into it.
The original recipe doesn’t use the filling in the cheesecake itself , but I like changing it up!
