Marina Games – My Grocery List, a Matching Game Review

I was thrilled to receive this game recently to review. We love board games in our house, but it’s not always easy with two younger ones that can’t really grasp and or sit still long enough for longer games. It makes our family game night a little tough once in awhile, trying to keep all four kids happy. My Grocery List came to the rescue!
This game is perfect for the young ones! The rules are basic and simple, making this a really great game for any child who can’t read yet, and or can’t fully enjoy a board game with the older kids because there’s too many steps or directions.
You first set up up by taking the 30 Grocery Cards from the sheets, just separate them and place them face down on any surface. Arrange them in a rectangle shape, 6 across, five down. Next you will pass out one Grocery List for every player and a Shopping Basket card.
How to play the game-
Taking turns a player will flip over a grocery card. If the card matches something on the grocery list you take it and place it into your own grocery basket. If the card doesn’t match up you turn the card back over and the next player gets a turn.
Who ever can collect all the items on their grocery list wins!
The older kids get bored fast but my two youngest 4 years old and 2 years old just enjoy this. Since you don’t have to read to play this, they get the full enjoyment out of winning. The best part is, they can even sit down with each other and be able to play this with no help from me at all.
My Grocery List by Marina Games, is perfect for the stocking stuffers this holiday season! Keep your eyes peeled for this game, I plan on taking it with us when we head out for a few family gathers in the next few weeks. Now, finally the smaller kids can play and enjoy a game all by themselves!
