Weekend Project- Homemade Furniture Polish

The weather around our area has gone from rainy to sunny and warm nearly overnight. Days like this make the perfect weather for spring cleaning.

With four kids and two dogs, it feels like the cleaning never ends! We could easily go through products just for cleaning purposes quickly. Luckily though, in the last few years I’ve been on the quest to go green where ever and however I can. It isn’t just about finding something inexpensive, it’s more about finding something natural and green to use around my family.

It’s not that hard to switch over as some people think. You’d be pretty surprised that more than half the recipes for any homemade cleaning products are made with less than 5 ingredients. Most these ingredients should already be in your kitchen cupboard already, so it’s easier than you think! Here is a simple 2 ingredient recipe for a green friendly natural cleaning product nearly every home uses each day, Furniture Polish!

Ingredients
1 cup olive oil
1/3 cup lemon juice
Spray bottle
Directions
Combine the oil and lemon juice in the bottle. Shake it up. Applying a small amount to a cloth apply an even layer over wood surface. Use a dry clean cloth to buff and polish.
Easy to put together, better for the environment and so much cheaper than buying it at the store!
