Crock-Pot Recipe Challenge Day 26 & 27- Beef Stew & Rice

Confession. I do not like making rice. Don’t even know why either, love to eat rice, not so much making it. I’m funny that way . On to the recipes-

Beef Stew is always a must on cold winter days, so get out the crock pot and get making some hearty stew.

Ingredients

2 cups beef broth
1 cup water
2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cups cut-up fresh potatoes
1 1/4 cups cut-up fresh carrots
1 1/4 cups cut-up fresh celery
1 1/4 cups sliced onions

Directions

Mix vegetables, water and broth together in cooker. Coat beef with flour. Stir into ingredients in slow cooker and cover. It’s that easy to make this. Cook for about 8 hours on low , the beef will be perfectly tender.

To make rice in the slow cooker.
Ingrdeints
1 Tablespoon  butter
1 cup white  rice
2 cups water
pinch of salt

The Directions:
 Rub the butter along the inside of the crockpot. Put the rice in , then water and salt. Stir. Cover and cook for 2 hours on high.
