Apple Smorgasbord #NOWWellness
We’ve all seen the apple slices with peanut butter, really who hasn’t seen that? My kids took that idea and made it their own, and created- Apple Smorgasbord .
A little of this, a little of that, an odd amount of that and this. All I do is cut the apple and spread the peanut butter then the kids take over the rest.
NOW Foods, Toasted Hemp seeds were a great addition to this snack. You can add them to pretty much anything, granola, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, salads, or even eaten by themselves, they are light and crunchy packed full of plenty of protein and fiber. Slightly salted and a mild nutty flavor they paired nicely with the peanut butter, and they are loaded with Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty acid.
It’s a great pick me up throughout any day and a healthier choice next to any other quick convenient snack you may end up grabbing on the go. I’ve taken this out on hikes before, simply put the toppings all in their own ziplock bag, and cut the apple when we reach a resting spot. Peanut butter is in a small container that I spread for them, and kids are able to enjoy a really healthy energizing snack that will help them through till the next hike stop. Put the toppings in sandwich bags, take the apple with you and be able to enjoy it where ever you are!

These look super yummy! I love the apple, peanut butter, cranberry and chocolate but would love to put white chocolate on it too. This would be a fun dessert bar or fun picnic idea this summer. Thanks for sharing!
