Recipe Challenge Day 18: Apple Chips
Need a new healthy snack for the kids? This is the ticket, your own Apple Chips. I made two batches of these, one with cinnamon sugar, and the other with only a dusting of cinnamon. You really don’t need the sugar, I liked them both ways so do as you would like.
What’s needed
Apples of choice
Food slicer
Cinnamon sugar
Cinnamon
Parchment paper
Olive oil
Core and slice the apples. I didn’t core them, no real reason too when you slice them up. Once sliced
arrange in a single layer on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper sprayed with olive oil. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 200F for 2 or more hours until crispy. Flip the apples over halfway through baking. Take out and let cool before storing in air tight container.
Simple, easy and a great healthy snack!

Cheap Is The *New* Classy
Did you bake them in the oven? That is cool. I thought you had to have a dehydrator to do something like this {which I don't}.

Very nice. They look tasty and with fewer calories than a typical snack pack. Did you say you didn't core them? Do take the seeds out. Apple seeds are toxic; they contain cyanide and over time they can become harmful to the system.

Apple chips are one of my favorite snacks! I usually put them in my dehydrator, but I think your method sounds much quicker!

This look super easy! A non-baker like myself could totally make these. I bet they smell just as good as they look.

These look great. I make my own apple chips sometimes too. I don't do the sugar so dip mine in a lemon agave mixture.

Wow, that is so easy and really wouldn't stop me from doing other things around the house while they are baking. I love apple chips so I will definitely try this!
