Taken by Love
THE BRAND NEW BRADEN COUSIN’S
Book #7 The Bradens, Love in Bloom Series #15
TAKEN BY LOVE is the first of six hot, wealthy, and wickedly naughty Braden cousins, and the newest additions to the BRADEN series by New York Times & USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Melissa Foster.
Daisy Honey fled Trusty, Colorado, after years of battling rumors sparked by her gorgeous looks and lust-inducing name. Now a physician on the brink of a promising career, she reluctantly returns home when her father is injured in a farming accident. Daisy expects the small-town girls who hurt her in the past to take cheap shots again—but she’s completely unprepared for a run-in with tall, dark, and wickedly sexy Luke Braden, the only man who has ever stood up for her—and the man she’s never forgotten.
Luke Braden is handsome, wealthy, and the best damn gypsy horse breeder in the Midwest. After a restless youth, he’s finally ready to settle down—only connecting with women is nothing like connecting with horses, and he’s never met a woman worth the energy. After an arrest in a neighboring town, Luke’s past comes back to haunt him, and he realizes that his inability to find love runs deeper than he ever imagined.
A chance encounter sweeps Luke and Daisy into a world of passion. For the first time ever, Luke feels a connection, but Daisy’s life in Trusty is anything but permanent, and Luke can’t manage a future until he puts his past to rest.

My Review
This book was a little of a surprise, while I love all of Foster’s book ( no worries I love this one too) the surprise came in an about face that a lot of people deal with – Bullying and domestic abuse. I think out of all the books I’ve read by Foster, this was one that dove deeper into something not easily written about and done so perfectly to make a beautiful story.
Dr. Daisy Honey grew up in Trusty, Colorado the last place she ever wanted to go back too after she’d left. More than happy to keep the past behind her from a town that tore her to pieces Daisy is conflicted when her father gets hurt, forcing her to go back to the dreaded place.
As she’s back into town bumping into people is on the bottom of her list, that is until she collides with tall dark and handsome Luke Braden. Someone who had stood up for her as a kid when she was being bullied. While she had been prepared for jabs and pokes from the towns people what she didn’t expect was what Luke stirs up more than a rare few fond memories she’s had growing up. While she can’t deny the connection she has with Luke, there’s too many red flags she’s not willing to ignore.
Luke Braden has his own past he’s trying to forget and he’s ready to really set an end to his checked past to settle down. One of the best horse breeders in the Midwest Luke is finding it easier to connect with horses than women, which is a bigger problem than he ever imagined. Until that is he bumps into Daisy. There’s a connection he’s been waiting for but Daisy has made it very clear her stay in town wasn’t going to be permanent.
With their past weighting them down Luke and Daisy need to decide if it’s worth keeping on too or letting go. Serious decisions must be made and it can go either way for both of them , don’t miss another wonderful book by Foster and pick up Taken By Love to find out what happens to Luke and Daisy. You will not be disappointed!

This book sounds like quite the steamy romance! I do enjoy the description of him learning to connect with women being different than horse. I'm a country girl who finds horses a lot easier to connect with than people…so I can totally relate to that challenge.
