We begin this book in the life of a single mother, Angie of a boy in first grade. Angie lives with her mother and great grandmother in a 3 bedroom apartment. Angie is doing the rush out the door with her son to make the bus and then he rush to make it to work at a jewelry store in time. After a long day in the store, Angie attempts to head home, but her forgets her purse in the store. Her boss rushes out to bring it to her in a parking lot that is a sheet of ice. Her boss, Sam slips and smacks his head on the pavement. Angie calls 9-1-1 after she cannot wake him up. She heads to the hospital to make sure that he is ok and when he awakens, he has no idea who she is. Sam has quite the bout of amnesia. Angie brings him home with her and sets him up at her house while he is recovering from his fall. We are then taken through a journey of trying to get Sam’s memory back as Angie prepares for Christmas.
This book is Ebenezer Scrooge meets Hallmark with an amnesia twist. This is a very heartfelt book and the ending, as all Hallmark books leave you wanting more and with an amazing ending. I look forward to seeing the movie come to life in a few months!
