Crock-Pot Recipe Challenge Day 10: Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes! Who can pass these up? No one that’s who!

I didn’t get a chance to taste these, my parents were visiting from New York and this meal was served while my husband and I headed out for a kid free dinner- yes a kid free dinner. I got a warm meal, didn’t have to cut someones meat, didn’t even have to protect my food from little tiny hands snatching away my meal! It was to say the least a treat! If my parents are reading this, thank you again for the kid free night!

My kids and my parents enjoyed this meal and I’m told they really liked it. Some of the kids had seconds so that’s a winner in my book, hope you all enjoy!

Thanks to my parents for taking the picture!

2 lbs Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion, chopped
1 Small to Medium Green Pepper, seeded and chopped
2 stalks celery chopped fine
1 1/2 Cups Pasta sauce
2 garlic cloves minced
1 Teaspoon Mustard
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
*1 teaspoon Chili seasoning

* For the chili seasoning start with one teaspoon. Two of my kids don’t enjoy the spice but I have personally in the past added more for a smaller portion . Gives it a nice kick!

Directions
In the crock pot toss in all the ingredients. Mix up really well. Cover and cook for 4-5 hours or until the meat is all cooked. Depending on the kind of beef ( the amount of fat in it)  you will get a different amount to juice, so if by four hours it’s not juicy enough just add in more pasta sauce of choice- but it normally comes out just right without having to add more.  Serve with
Serve on hamburger buns.

Enjoy!
