Discovering Delilah Book Tour
HARBORSIDE NIGHTS is a sexy, hot, and evocatively real New Adult Romance series that follows a group of friends who have known one another for years as “summer” friends, and now come together after college to build their lives. They’re tough, edgy, and accepting—most of the time. This series is written in the loving, raw, and emotional voice readers have come to love by New York Times & USA Today bestselling, award-winning author Melissa Foster.
DISCOVERING DELILAH is an #LGBT New Adult Romance
After the death of her parents on the day of her college graduation, Delilah Armstrong thought she could finally follow her heart and come out to her closest friends, but the guilt of going against her parents’ beliefs haunts her. The feelings she has for her best friend,Ashley, are stronger than anything she’s felt before, but Delilah has never even kissed a girl, and fear stops her at every turn.
Ashley Carver promised herself that she would never again date another girl who wasn’t out, but that was before she met intoxicatingly sweet and sexy Delilah.
When another girl offers to teach Delilah the ropes, it changes Delilah’s whole world and gives her the courage to go after the only girl she really wants. But coming out isn’t as easy as Delilah imagined, and moving past her parents’ death and the feelings of guilt she is left with is even harder. The intense passion between Ashley and Delilah is too strong to deny, but coming together means risking everything.
Discovering Delilah is an edgy, evocative, romantic story of friendship, family, and the courage to love.
My Review
Delilah Armstong always had feelings for her best friend, Ashley, but growing up with parents that don’t believe in anything past traditional couples. After their passing, their beliefs still hanging over her shoulder with guilt Delilah wants nothing more than to break out of her shell and just be herself but it seems left and right fate just isn’t on her side.
Ashley Carver vowed never to get involved with a girl that is still stuck in the closet. What’s the use? Why hide yourself? She’s done with people who aren’t comfortable with who they are and know what they want in life. Her best friend is going though a hard time, she’ll always be there for her, but Ashley is starting to realize just how much she cares for Delilah and has no idea that the feelings are mutual. They have a very close relationship, neither wants to mess their friendship up but the passion and the emotion that is growing between them is getting too hard to ignore.
Will Delilah be able to confront Ashely about how she truly feels? Will she be able to finally admit openly who she is? With the guilt and fear at her front door this is a huge hurdle for her to overcome, and even if she can get over it, will her best friend welcome her with open arms? After all Delilah doesn’t even know if Ashley is into the same sex.
Loved this book, I know I say it in all my reviews but Foster seriously has done it again. I truly loved how this book came together. Wonderful characters, strong willed, very giving and caring. You see them grow through each chapter, and they learn a lot about each other. That really makes this book. In order to even begin to be together ( do they even get together!? Can’t say!) , they must both come to terms with themselves first. I can’t give spoilers so I need to stop now, so hard not to let a few details slip. It’s a must read though , truly enjoyed the way this came together.
*I received the following product(s) to review . I was not required to write a positive review no other monetary compensation was given . Any and all opinions are my own.
**CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**
“Melissa Foster does a great job addressing the (still) sensitive subject of same sex relationships and the stereotypes, prejudices and sometimes even consequences of being in one. But this book doesn’t only focus on that one topic. You will also see the beauty of friendship, the love of family and one’s metamorphosis from confusion and pain to self-discovery and acceptance.
No matter if you are heterosexual, homosexual or asexual, this is a must read for everybody!”
