DIY Air Freshener
It’s been raining , raining , raining, raining here. The good news? Hey we’re almost out of our drought here in California! The not so fun news is, we’re cooped up in the house far more than we normally are. It also tends to mean a slight almost stale smell in the air. Nicer weather means a lot more open windows and fresh air streaming in as the kids dash in and out of the house, and far less muddy shoes and clothes being washed non-stop.
Everyone enjoys a nice refreshing scent in their home, and most people grab a commercial air freshener. Each spray sends several different chemicals into the air, masked by a heavy perfumed scent that fades and then a new smell takes it’s place, a not so nice smell. Some sprays even have an alcohol linger to it masked by a strong fake overlaying scent. No matter what, it’s not pleasant in anyway.
All those plugin’s and quick sprays are leaving far more toxins in the air than anyone should be breathing in, so why keep doing it? DIY Air Freshener sprays are easy to make, you can change up the scents and most of all they are all natural , so no more heavy toxins in the air to breath!
Let’s do this!
Now there’s a basic Air Freshener Spray Formula, the base. You can change up the essential oils to change the scents all you want. I listed a few of my favorites, but feel free to mix up your own essential oils for different creations, you will not be disappointed!
