Jennifer’s Hiking Trip
This Post is By Jennifer
I am getting a little unhinged being in the house so much! I have cooked and baked up a storm. I have gone on laundry strike, just so that I can catch up on what already needs to be folded. My house is overflowing with all the clothes that my kids have outgrown because I cannot meet up with the lady in the neighborhood that takes them because we cannot have human contact. BUT, the one thing that grounds me is hiking! We upgraded our phone plan the week before this whole thing blew up because my son was going to be running track and would need a phone. I have been needing a new phone, but have been procrastinating it, but we went out and I got a Samsung A50. The photos are pretty cool, if I do not say so myself! I use the hiking time as gym for the kids, but also time for me to work on my photography and get back to one and bring myself back to reality. Instead of worrying about all the things that are happening outside of my bubble, I focus on the bubble and what is going on there. I do not watch the news, I cannot listen to all the hype and whatnot. I have so many things to catch up on and so I am trying to pretend that this is a vacation for me to catch up on that enormous pile of clothes that I need to fix and put away. The things that I have not cleaned. Everything is about mindset. We have to remember that this is a temporary situation, it is not permanent. This is a time to relax, reset, catch up on some family time, enjoy and reflect on the things we have. We always say that we need more time, now we do.
