Organic Garden Bug Spray

We all deal with those pesky bugs in the garden and it can not only damage your vegetables but also your flowers. Just one infested plant can spread like wild fire in a garden. With all the time you put into it you don’t want to give it up for a bunch of tiny pests.
This is a easy and quick way to deal with bugs , I’ve had luck using it with aphids which go after squash a lot. White flies also have been a problem in my garden which can within just days take down all my squash plants and that is not fun to handle.

Bugs on my Chives, yuck!

Garlic spray is as as easy as mashing garlic and boiling water. Can you do that? Then you’re ready to kill some bugs.

You will need:

  • One head of garlic
  • 1 quart sized mason jar with lid
  • One plastic spray bottle
  • A plastic bowl to store leftovers and freeze for later use
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • Strainer or cheese cloth
  • Measuring cup
Directions-
Peel and smash the garlic and place in mason jar. Pour boiling water into jar and screw on lid. Let this sit over night. Strain the next morning into measuring cup for easy pouring into your spray bottle. Don’t fill it all the way up, this stuff will go bad so just use a little and freeze the rest in a plastic container for later use.
Use around the garden were bugs are infested. You can spray onto a cloth and wipe down any vegetables or areas as well, this discourages bugs from coming back. Use as needed.
