Deviled Eggs
Can’t believe I’ve never made Deviled Eggs before! That’s right , never made Deviled Eggs! How is this even possible, tell me I’m not alone out there in this!? Seems like these yummy appetizers would be at every gathering, and it’s super simple to make as well! So why on earth have I not ever made them- I have no idea. Either way these little bite sized nibbles have finally been made.
Even though the kids ended up dumping a load of paprika on a few too many of these Deviled Eggs, they were a winner in the house. A change up of the regular snack they didn’t mind one bit. This recipe came from a neighbor and as I hear some people put many different things within the yolk mixture. Would love to hear some feed back on how YOU make your own Deviled Eggs!
These are made in about 15 minutes, if you have hardboiled eggs on hand that is, otherwise it would take a bit longer.
- 12 hard-boiled and cooled eggs
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 4 tablespoons pickle relish (optional)
- paprika for garnish
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Remove the shells from the eggs and slice lengthwise in half. Remove the all the egg yolks and place them into a bowl to mash with fork. Once mashed add in the mayo and mix until creamy. Add in the other ingredients and mix well. Take the mixture and fill the egg whites then sprinkle with paprika. Chill before serving.

I make mine just like yours, but sometimes to change the flavor for a kick, I’ll use a chipotle or sriracha mayo. I usually omit the relish since the kids aren’t fans. I LOVE deviled eggs and I think I’ll make some soon for book club. Here in Germany not many of the women have eaten a lot of things we do in the US, so thanks for reminding me of this simple, yet delicious side. 😉

My godmother makes the best deviled eggs. She always prepares them for every holiday. I would love to try to make them myself here at home.

Looks like a great recipe. We add a small amount of sugar to our deviled eggs, love the sweetness!

I’m really not a fan of deviled eggs but my kids love them! So I make them the odd time. I haven’t in a very long time though, so I may have to make them this weekend!

I love deviled eggs. I like to mix dill pickle relish in mine and put a green olive on top.

Can you believe that I have never tried a deviled egg before? I always think how good they look or sound, so I need to get on that.

Though I have heard about Deviled Eggs, I have never had them or tried them before. This looks like a yummy recipe which my kids would love so much as they love anything made with boiled eggs.
