Slow Cooker Meatloaf
Been taking a long break from blogging lately, there just hasn’t been time to dedicate towards it for a couple months. Planning on kicking things back up and I hope to pull off the Halloween Challenge this year. Last year my hard drive crashed so it was stopped days into the Challenge, which was pretty devastation. I lost half a years work ( yes I didn’t back up, and yes I’ve learned my lesson)
1 cup bread crumbs *( Italian seasoned is your best bet, and you can skip adding the Italian dried season )
3/4 pound ground round
3/4 pound ground turkey
1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves minced
*1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning ( skip if using the Italian seasoned bread crumbs)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
Sauce
1 cup favorite BBQ sauce
1 cup brown sugar
Directions
Combine the first list of ingredients, bread crumbs-eggs, together into a large bowl. Shape meat the crumbs, beef, and next 7 ingredients (beef through garlic) in a large bowl, and shape meat mixture into a 9 x 6-inch loaf. Place loaf in the slow cooker.
Combine the ingredients for the Sauce and pour half of it over the meat. Cover the crock and cook on low for about 4-5 hours or until meat is done. Serve with remaining sauce.
Enjoy!

I have never had meatloaf made in a crockpot but I am all about cooking with a slow cooker. Makes life just so much easier. This looks delicious.

I would have never thought to cook meatloaf in the crockpot! What a great idea, it makes going to work worth it if I can come home and be smelling dinner when I walk in!

My Captivating Life
I would have never thought to cook it in a slow cooker. I feel your pain on backing up. I lost my daughters first year of pictures like that once. Luckily I had backed them up on a photo sharing site. I highly suggest backing up in two places cause I have had external hard drives crash too.

I've been thinking about making a meatloaf in the slow cooker. That's way easier than making it in the oven!

Tough Cookie Mommy
I had no idea that you could make meatloaf in the slow cooker. I'm going to have to try making it using my mother's meatloaf recipe as a guide.

Same here, I didn't think you could make it in a crock pot. I would have thought it would be all mushy.
