If that’s not frustrating enough, she can’t escape the sparks igniting with her strikingly handsome and pushy neighbor, Rick, who makes all her warning bells go off.

Passion ignites as Desiree and Rick spend long summer nights sharing heartfelt confessions and steamy kisses. For the first time in years Rick is enjoying life again instead of hiding behind mounds of work miles away from his family. Desiree has touched him in a way that makes him want to slow down. Only slowing down means dealing with his demons, and he isn’t sure who he’ll be when he comes out the other side.

My Review –

Sweet Love at Bayside starts out with fate taking charge in every way possible. Rick Savage thinks he has everything he wants, great job, good friend and family, but upon his return to Cape Cod old painful memories come to surface that feel almost unforgiving. The last thing he wants to do is focus or deal with his own issues so when sweet and beautiful Desiree Cleary moves in next door to him the pretty distraction is very much welcomed. Though it wasn’t planned and clearly Desiree isn’t impressed at first Rick knows what he wants and he isn’t the one to normally walk away so easily. The steamy chemistry between the two is unmistakable, and Rick feels more alive than he ever has before, but he still has to face some painful memories sooner or later. Would Desiree stick around long enough while he deals with them? Or would she leave once she knew everything he was hiding from?

Desiree rushes to Cape Cod with several things on her mind, the number one thing being her mother. While the relationship is strained, she wouldn’t turn her mother down when help is needed and rushed out to see her- only to find out that her mother had entirely different plans of her own. Stuck now watching over the family home and business while her mother travels , she’s now got a half sister and a crazy dog to try and live with. Though her arrival was with caution and jolts of surprises, staying around a bit wasn’t all that bad after chance encounters with Rick start to heat up. A relationship is the last thing on her mind though, Desiree carries plenty of her own issues and while the chemistry is there, she’s not sure what the future holds any longer.

Will Rick and Desiree be able to over come their painful past together? You’ll have to find out for yourself !

This was such a great book, really funny, loved how the story flowed and how the characters were written so well. The book made me laugh, cringe as parts ( in a funny good humor way!) and hope for the best outcome . If you enjoy a nice heartwarming romance this book is for you! – My Review

Emery Andrew’s misses her best friend Desiree greatly, so when the chance to move closer arises Emery doesn’t hesitate. There is another great friendship she is eager to reconnect with, Dean Masters . Meeting months back over the holidays it had been a instant connection, and one that she treasured dearly. Even after the holidays though Dean and Emery kept in touch, growing closer over chats, phone calls , many laughs becoming each other’s best friends. A true friendship that even long distance couldn’t break, so the move was an easy one to make for Emery. The only problem was, Dean wanted more than a friendship, and Emery had a big rule about dating friends. Emery suddenly finds herself questioning her own rule as she not just enjoys Dean as a friend but feels herself being drawn to him beyond that. She doesn’t want to ruin their amazing friendship, but she also can’t ignore the chemistry that is igniting between them.

Unlike Emery, Dean has no problem throwing the rule book out the window. Not about to take no for an answer he steps up to the challenge to prove to Emery some rules are made to be broken and in very fun ways. He knows he comes with faults, but he’s willing to be patient to not only earn her full trust, but to earn her heart, show her how great things can be. Good things come to those who wait, and Dean hopes Emery sees that in him before he looses her and their amazing friendship all together.

Will they find their happy ever after? Or will a true friendship break apart ? You will have to pick up a copy and find out yourself!

This was a great book, I loved the growth of both Dean and Emery’s relationship as well as personal growth themselves as characters . The book was fun , witty and heartwarming with a steamy romance heating the pages up. This is the follow up of Sweet Love at Bayside, where we run into previous characters, which is great. There’s always a great feeling when you read about a couple you got hooked on in a previous book and see how they are doing. Addison Cole did a wonderful job and I am looking forward to reading more!

I highly recommend reading both back to back, you will enjoy if you like sweet , heartwarming and funny books!
