Temps de Flors 2010 White Wine- Review
Temps de Flors reigns from the Sumarroca winery, just north of Barcelona. The Sumarroca family has dedicated their passion and resources to caring for the vineyards and winemaking for over two decades. Family patriarch, Carles Sumarroca, has partnered with the Rovira i Virgili University in Catalonia to cultivate and study over 360 different grape varieties in his experimental vineyard. It certainly has paid of when you taste their wines, we have had the privilege of tasting some of them.
Temps de Flors 2010 is an aromatic white blend of sweet Muscat, native Catalan Xarel.lo and lush Gewürztraminer grapes. This special white wine captures the floral essence of its namesake easily.
The name Temps de Flors means “the time of flower” and shares the moniker with the name of a famous spring flower north of Barcelona which is the inspiration behind the wine.
This white wine is perfect for warm weather but you can enjoy it year round. Suitable best with lighter meals such as, salads, fish, starters or fruit. We enjoyed this with a light grilled meal and fruit dessert, which it complemented very well. It’s balanced and well rounded taste really has you enjoy the different grapes used as well as catch the floral aroma. Sweet tasting but not overly sweet in anyway it left me wanting more. Very different from other whites I’ve tried in the past and highly enjoyable, I’d love to serve this at dinners for guests as I know they’d love it.
Retail Price of Temps de Flors is $13.99 . 12% alcohol. Imported by Spain Wine collector, Congers, New York.

I must say I have never had a white wine. I wonder if they carry this at our local store.
