Weekend Project- Figuring out what’s going on!
Something, is going on in my garden, I just have no idea how it started.
I water the plants each morning before it gets way to hot, pick whatever vegetables need to be picked and pluck any weeds. It takes nearly an hour to move through everything. Only the last few weeks I’ve noticed several things that aren’t very normal happening.
First hint that something wasn’t right, was finding carrots growing in the Zucchini patch, really carrots! Strange thing is though last years carrots were on the other side of the yard. So how they mysteriously showed is beyond me. Maybe the seeds blew on over as they wanted a better view of the yard? Who knows.
My Cucumber bed is a whole other story.I planted three batches of seedlings . The first two attempts were taken away by the birds and the weather wasn’t right for them to grow. The third ones took off really well, only….
Last but not least, the surprise tomatoes I found weeks ago, are just coming up all over the place. It’s mind boggling how much I missed, or maybe they sprout a foot over night. Who knows, either way I’m giving plants out left and right as I hate to see these go to waste.
Since they sprouted late in the season I’ll be able to have these harvested after my first round is all picked, we’re talking maybe into November or even December! So, although something really strange is going on in my garden, I’m going to be up to my ears in vegetables for the rest of the year. Who knows, maybe the Eggplants will start sprouting some Watermelons!!
I know far fetch, but hey, stranger things have happened 🙂

I've had some strange things going on with my flower beds. all of the sudden I have a Japanese iris growing right in the middle of my Pampas Grass. No idea where it came from because I have no Japanese Iris on my place…weird invasions!
Visiting from Twisted Scavenger…a new TWIST on blog hopping!
Thanks, Becky Jane

Oh man I wish you lived close to me. I could so use some tomato plants! My spinach was done and I hoed it up to put down some more tomatoes. Come to find out all of Virginia seems to be out of tomato plants O.o Perhaps I will go to the pricey nursery and see if they have any on deep discount ;D

Is it possible that they sold you the wrong seeds for the cucumbers. This happened to my husband when growing hot peppers. Also I've had sunflowers pop up in my veggies before and I just wandered if it was a bird that dropped seeds on their way over. That is very odd.
