Avacado Plant for Indoors
~This Post is By Jennifer 🙂
We are in very uncertain times right now and the kids are going a little unhinged. We have done many arts and crafts over the years, but one of the fun things that we have done is garden. We didn’t just put things in dirt, but we grew things from the plants. If you cut the top off a pineapple, you can grown another pineapple from it. It takes quite a while, but it is a fun project to do. I have also grew an avocado tree from the nut of a avocado. I received an avocado boat for Christmas one year and since I always make guacamole for New Year’s, I put the avocados in the boats until they sprouted roots. Granted, only one survived, but it has flourished! I have included photos of the plants that I have grown from the stem. Some other things that you can do is cut the bottom off of celery and then put it in water and it will grow an entire new stalk. Lettuce is another one that will do it.
Have you tried this? Send us some photos!
