Bikram Balance Vitality Drink – Review

Have you ever heard of Bikram Yoga? One of the hottest classes of yoga ever, in which the room is heated to 105! Hot right? Now think of all that you’re doing within the class itself, a hot powerful workout that works your body hard all the while you are losing electrolytes.
Excessive sweating ( let’s face it in a room like that it’s going to happen!)  will do more harm than good though leading to dehydration.
Most of you know I’ve been doing yoga for my physical therapy since my surgery, and if you think it doesn’t work the body the same as a high impact workout think again .

Here I am doing the Kapotasana- King Pigeon Pose

Yoga is a lot of work and you certainly get the heart going during class, leaving me in search for a drink that will help replace all the electrolytes I’ve lost during class. I finally found one and that is Bikram Balance.

The creators themselves of Bikram put their heads together and created a drink that will balance and recharge your hard working body after a workout.
Bikram Balance is a fruit and vegetables vitality drink that replenish the body’s lost electrolytes while adding a wide variety of benefits – all while tasting good!

I was given both the Berry and Original Balance, I happen to like the Original much more. It’s green and you simply use one scoop in an 8 oz cup of liquid.

The Original

The Berry Flavor

You can mix it into your favorite drink, but I like it with just water. Most days I take a full water bottle and mix a scoop in there to take on my bike ride each night.

It’s slightly sweet, but nothing overwhelming. I’m in love with this drink, really I have had much better post workouts while on the Balance and I work out a lot!

Here is a run down on the drink –

  •  Bikram provides 15 servings of real fruit and vegetable superfoods in every single scoop. A few that are included are   barely, chlorella, spirulina, carrot juice, broccoli, spinach, blueberries, raspberries, tart cherries and tomatoes.
  • You get the proper pH balance and alkalinity that helps balance blood sugar levels, which face it sports drinks out there are full of sugar to start with. You don’t need to chug down a half a glass of sugar in most sports drinks, it doesn’t help you. Bikram Balance also helps improve your digestion with natural digestive enzymes – it’s also dairy free!

Check out their website here – http://www.bikrambalance.com/  Where you can  buy your choice of Original or Berry or check out the testimonials of people who’d tried the drink! They also have a shaker that would be awesome to have along side of you and your yoga mat. Makes it easy to make a drink fast and when you need it the most!

WOW, Bikram provides 15 servings of real fruit and vegetable superfoods in every single scoop, that is amazing. I know I can't get that through my regular daily consumption.

A colleague of mine at work is in great shape and she swears that it's because of the yoga that she does on a daily basis. I know that this is a really healthy lifestyle to follow.

We love Bikram yoga. This drink sounds really convenient because our week is so hectic sometimes that I don't have time to run around picking up ingredients and preparing green smoothies. I could totally go for these and they would be such a time saver!

  • Rows Red

I'm curious, is the yoga you're doing Bikram as well, or are you just trying out a Bikram inspired yoga drink? I'm already stupid impressed with all your yoga pics on Facebook. I don't think I could handle it if it were Bikram too!

I have done three classes of Bikram Yoga now and I really love it! Most my yoga though is done at home or at the park with a friend along with our handful of kids. I will take up more classes once the kids are back in school next month. We can't always find an open class or activity for them to do while we heat it up with Bikram, but I love how invigorating that class leaves me feeling!
