Chocolate Chip Cookie Jar Mix

It’s been an extremely busy month, actaully every since Thanksgiving and I didn’t have the time to get this posted until now. At least it will be up before next Christmas! The good thing though is these Cookie Jar mixes make great gifts year round, they just seem to be more popular during the holidays as everyone is always making cookies.

These are super fun no matter when you gift them, as all the recipient needs is the wet ingredients. Sometimes I have leftover jars that weren’t gifted and I can just use them throughout the year whenever. No need to measure anything but the wet ingredients and get to have fresh cookies in under 15 minutes, I say it’s a win win no matter what!

While making the jars can seem a tad intimidating it’s not that hard, just find something that will fit into the jar that can help pack in each layer as you go. I honestly have used anything from a hot sauce bottle to a wine glass to pack it in. I also use a funnel ( rolled up paper) to get the ingredients into the jar without making the sides of the jar all messy. You can either hand write the recipe, print on a index card or make a fancy label like we did. The only thing that goes on the card is the second half of the recipe listed below, it will list butter, eggs and vanilla.

I forgot to get pictures of cookies when I baked some but we all know what chocolate chip cookies look like……right?
