Crock-Pot Recipe Challenge Day 23- Coffee Cake
Dessert in the crock pot! Yes! It’s that easy and it tasted great. My kids wanted a special after school and it’s always a crazy time of day so being able to make this before hand have it cooking while I’m rushing around town to pick them all up from school it’s a great thing to come home too.
Ingredients
Crumb topping:
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 1/4 Cups Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Stick Butter, melted
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup sliced almonds
The cake :
1/2 Cup Stick Butter, softened
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Cup Sour Cream
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Instructions
For crumb mixture . In a bowl add the flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon and mix.
Add in the melted butter and the vanilla extract. Mix together until it looks like crumbs , set it aside.
For the cake – Add sugar and butter, and mix well. Add in the eggs, vanilla, sour cream and mix well. Add in all the remaining ingredients and mix it well. Grease your crock pot and add in the cake mix. Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top and cover. Cook on high for 1 and a half hour to 2 hours until toothpick comes out clean.
