This is the fourth book in the Salty Key series. I have not read these other 3 books, but I have already put them on hold at my local library. There is a small bit of story arc that I felt that I missed out on, but not so much where I was lost. This book is Brewster’s Millions meets DIY home improvement. I LOOOVED this book and think that it should be made into a movie or a TV series.
We begin this book at Uncle Gavin’s restaurant, appropriately called Gavin’s with a meeting with sisters; Sheena, Darcy and Regan. They are trying to turn Gavin’s rundown hotel into a profitable operation within one year in order to inherit Gavin’s sizable estate along with the hotel. Blackie, Uncle Gavin’s financial advisor shows up to warn the girls that there will be a special guest that will appear that evening, Archibald Wilson, Uncle Gavin’s lawyer. The stakes are high on this challenge. The Sullivan sisters have borrowed $250,000 to finance the completion of the restaurant. If they do not win the challenge, they lose everything and still owe the $250,000. Darcy has a wedding come up and they are going to use this as a way to promote the Inn as a Wedding Venue.  After her wedding, they book a small wedding that quickly starts to grow in numbers and the clout. The Groom is the son of Senator Chuck Bowen. This wedding brings publicity and some drama. This book is packed with family drama, DIY and a challenge the girls attempt to win their Uncle’s millions. I cannot wait until the next book.
