Microsoft Camp #youthspark

As we were driving home from vacation, all my kids can talk about is Minecraft and building this and that. It was a long 4 hour drive home. We just spent a small fortune on vacation and I wasn’t about to spend another one on these kids, but wanted to find something to occupy them on the cheap. I scoured the internet, local library programs and stumbled upon Microsoft camps. I signed up my 2 kids for a 4 day, two hour coding class for Minecraft. If you cannot beat them, might as well get them learning code and spend their time wisely. My kids received a booklet with the weekly curriculum, hats that said Microsoft and pens as well. They were overjoyed to have SWAG! In the first two hours, my kids learned so much, they begged me to call the neighbor kids to come over after to show them what they learned. They offer different classes at each store, but you can learn about the classes at your store here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/locations/events?ranMID=24542&ranEAID=je6NUbpObpQ&ranSiteID=je6NUbpObpQ-24CAgWHaDQDs7EsywGAr8Q&epi=je6NUbpObpQ-24CAgWHaDQDs7EsywGAr8Q&irgwc=1&OCID=AID681541_aff_7593_1243925&tduid=(ir_woKVjjQ89VBYylbSFR1MdWrgUkjSkCRZR26gVQ0)(7593)(1243925)(je6NUbpObpQ-24CAgWHaDQDs7EsywGAr8Q)()&irclickid=woKVjjQ89VBYylbSFR1MdWrgUkjSkCRZR26gVQ0.

My store also mentioned that they always have STEM Saturdays where they teach a class. Microsoft will also teach classes based on code.org and will come to the local library to teach these class, if asked. They have a variety of classes for scouts as well. If you are looking to squeeze in some education for your kids this summer, check out your local Microsoft Store.
