My younger kids love Rock N Learn! Tons of fun, doesn’t matter what the DVD will be about, they sit, listen and are completely into the movie. Fun, interactive and full of music the Rock N Learn line of  learning DVD’s is perfect for the upcoming Holidays with the kids.

We recently reviewed the Rock N Learn Sight Words, aimed at Pre-K ages and up. Over 60 sight words are used throughout the DVD and easily taught to kids in a way that gets them singing right along with them. I know as mother the best way my kids learn is getting them to interact and Rock N Learn does that.

Taught in a context for meaning, example, when being taught the word up or down, the object is moving up and down. There’s counting and colors, with yellow, blue and red sheep, each highlighted as the word is said. My youngest girls, four and two, count along and shout out the colors right with the DVD.
They really enjoy it, and pick up a lot from it. They dance along with the characters , jump in when they are asked to repeat, or find the sight words.

 The other great thing about the Sight Words DVD is, a bonus feature where they are asked to pronounce the words. 
Rock N Learn breaks down  words, T-h-e , c-a-t, in simple form, easily picked up by the youngest kids. We’ve been trying to get her to begin to spell, and the way Rock N Learn breaks that word up made her shout out “Hey look I can spell now too”. She enjoys it along with learning new words everyday to spell.
