Stress Relief Essential Oil Roller Blend

Oils are a wonderful thing to have at hand where ever you are. I keep a go too oil first aid kit in my bag that’s always in the car when we are out and about and or in my hiking bag when we’re on the trails. This stress relief mix can be used for a number of things but I find it to be best for headaches and tension. The Fresh scent of peppermint and calming lavender mixed with Frankincense brings you back to the moment and can calm some sensitive nerves when needed.

Remember when we are stressed our thoughts are usually in the future of what could happen, not the present moment. It’s important to be able to remember this as in moments of anxiety or stress we can actaully guide ourselves back to the moment where our thoughts should always be. What is it that is happened, NOW, where are you NOW, what do you smell, see, feel NOW. Get the picture? Scents are a wonderful way to bring our minds back to the present moment. When inhaling do it slowly, take in the scent, the effect it brings and hold onto that before letting out your breath again. Your only focus should be on your breathing and the scent. One by one you can focus on other things directly around you, is the air cool or warm? Are there noises? Are you sitting or standing? I’ve spoken about this before, it’s called mindful meditation. You are mindful of what is directly surrounding you, what is happening in the very moment. Not 5 minutes in the past, and not 5 minutes into the future. NOW. 

Hopefully this roller blend will help you find your now moment and calm any tension you may feel. The scents go very well together and brighten up my day when I use them!

 

For this roller ball blend  you will need

1 empty roller ball container ( I get mine from here

10 drops Frankincense

10 drops Lavender

10 drops Peppermint

Carrier oil ( I use Fractionated Coconut Oil) 

 

You will put the drops of oil in the bottle then fill up the remainder of the bottle with your carrier oil. Secure the roller top and gently shake. This can be applied to your wrists, back of neck and even temples when you are stressed . I have found that this also works great for headaches, placing at temples and back of neck bring a cooling effect that is very relaxing. This mix can also be diffused in a diffuser to lift up the moods in the house or even office! ( Just do not add the coconut oil to the diffuser) 

In any moment when you feel stressed and or anxious you can simply roll this on your wrists and inhale slowly. Focus only on breathing in the scent, how it smells, how it feels as you inhale, then hold it for a few seconds and let it out slowly.  Repeat until you feel yourself relaxing.
