Think about it, Caramel Apples, and Cake, why not right? That’s what I came up with this week, after trying to find a different way to use the Marzetti Dip Caramel Dip that I received to review. I wanted something fun, new and different. Well, no recipes seemed to hit the spot with me, and then suddenly I had a thought.
Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake. Yes! I’m not sure if there is a recipe out there, haven’t come across one, so this is my own change to the classic Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Since the basic recipe uses brown sugar, I just changed that for the Marzetti Dip, and added apples. Ta- Da
We Have Cake!
What I did was following the directions for the Pineapple Upside down cake, instead of melting the butter in the pan, I melted the butter with one cut up apple in a cast iron skillet. Once the apples were tender I poured one giant spoonful or 2 oz (Marzetti has these awesome convenience packs that I used for this) caramel dip and Just swirled it around in the pan with butter and apples till it was all mixed together.
Then I carefully poured the melted butter and caramel in the cake pan before setting the apples in the pan as well. Just arrange as you would the pineapple slices. Pour the cake batter over the apples and cook for the same amount of time, about 30 minutes till a toothpick comes out clean in the center.
It tastes amazing, Want to try it out yourself? How about a Free Tub of Caramel Dip to try it out with? Sound good? Then listen up and you can win a coupon for a Free tub of ANY variety of Marzetti Product dips.

They're funny amusing little things my children. It never fails when it comes to the last pieces of fruit, some child has a reason why they won't eat it. Banana's and apples are the two biggest fruits this happens to and over the last few years I've got on…
This was a really fun recipe to do. The kids helped prepared this after I cut the apples so it's easy and perfect with a side of homemade ice cream. The kids didn't like the idea of caramel sauce so I didn't make much at all. The apples were sweet…
My kids eat this stuff up like there's no tomorrow. Sadly, it also makes a mess on the floor but hey, it's fun while it lasts! Super easy, only takes about 50'ish minutes until you can enjoy some caramel popcorn with the kids. Seems like the fall calls for all…

My favorite recipe is to slice apple into rounds, alternate on a plate, drizzle with caramet and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips! YUMMMMM delcodealdiva@yahoo.com
Extra entry: my favorite way to use caramel is to drizzle it on top, or if it's a cake to poke holes in the cake and pour the caramel in the holes. mnsanchez15@yahoo.com
