This too Shall Pass

No matter where you are, or what is happening, there is nothing that will not change, and it all starts with your thoughts. Think of waves, or even think of storms. They can both be violent, both rush in and at times linger, but they never stay. Storms pass and settle down, waves also calm. 

So in moments when things seem horrible, focus on something , just one thing, that’s all it takes, just one thing that is positive. It can be within that moment, or even something ten years ago. All you need to do is change your focus off of the present “negative” and focus on a positive.

Once you get your focus off of the negative you are able to see the positive and with your mind solely on that positive, the current situation becomes more manageable. The stress level decreases, the anxiety calms, and your mind clears for better clarity. 

So while positive thoughts can’t exactly stop a storm in it’s tracks, it does however change your focus and where your energy is going. You are no longer focused on something upsetting but rather focused on something that makes you happy, leaving you less stressed and able to handle the current situation. 

Try it 🙂 And remember, everyday is a new beginning. You have a chance to start over everyday.

Things change; that is the only consent in life. Change.
