Toca Boca Review!

Toca Boca  is a digital imagination playground for kids. It’s too cute for words honestly. The apps which can be downloaded on your  iPhones, iPod touch  and iPad  are all different, but all the basic idea to stimulate the kids imagination  The games, or apps are,  Toca Hair Salon, Store, Kitchen (coming soon) , Robot Lab, Doctor, Paint My Wings, (butterfly) Tea Party, Helicopter and Party Playtime. You have to buy and download them separately.  All apps are under three dollars and most, are. $0.99, so talk about a great deal!

We tried out the Toca Hair Salon, Robot Lab and the Toca Store. My youngest girl who is 2years old, loves the Hair Salon. You pick a person to play with, color, blow dry, shave or cut, even grow their hair out or comb to your liking. She enjoys growing the hair out and cutting away just by tapping the touch screen.  It’s the easiest for her to do and she loves the little faces the Toca person makes when she blow drys their hair. It’s cute.

The Robot Lab, my son who is 9 enjoys this.

You create your robot, and work through short little levels with your robot. He’s better at the Toca Store as well, where you set prices to objects to sell in the store, and invite people to your store. My two other girls, ages 4 and 6, enjoy all of the games. They seem to get most the fun out of creating things all together. They make the Hair Salon person with rainbow hair, or their robot match and or miss match as best they can till they laugh about it. Tons of fun!

What else is  great about Toca Boca besides the cute, animations and fun play for the kids? There’s no in game advertising and or any in-app purchasing. I won’t allow my kids to play my iPod touch most the time because my son had downloaded something and within the game you had to buy other items. Those in-game purchasing can add up fast.
Toca Boca doesn’t have this, taking the worry away for me and letting them enjoy the game more.

Check out Toca Boca yourself! All the games are cute, bright fun colors and easy enough even for the younger kids to be able to enjoy.  If you have an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad as well as a young one, these would be great for them! The games came in handy during our Thanksgiving break when I needed to keep my kids busy in a long store line. Turned their grumpy frowns into giggles and they were able to enjoy something during total chaos around them.
